Fresh water supply is not very easily accessible to many rural communities in China . Some villagers have to walk a long way to water source and could only afford to carry two buckets of water for the whole family to use a day. Some have to get water from polluted rivers and fish ponds, which may risk their health. Some schools have to suspend classes due to the shortage of water supply.

Being a significant way to improve health, we have been helping many rural communities and schools in getting fresh water supply by supporting them to build water tanks and pipe the water to tanks from source of clean water.
In the past, villagers had to carry heavy buckets to and fro the mountain source. (Dec 2003)

Upon the project's completion, the source itself was engraved by the villagers with a likely reminder:
remember the source when you drink. (June 2004)

Water from the source would then flow through a filter composed of rocks and pebbles and sands.
